Discovered a gorgeous blue star flower this week – Laurentia axillaris – perfect clump forming almost grass-like annual. Great as a low border plant, with twinkling slivers of blue flowers. Too annoyed to speak. The garden designer I employed to lay a granite patio in my glorious back garden has bodged it up. I am embarrassed on behalf of my fellow tradespeople. What an unpleasant cretin he is. Grrr. I may name and shame him when this sorry episode is over.

A day off at last. Cycled in the sun to nowhere in particular and a wonderful vivid green dragonfly landed on my forearm. Stayed with me for some time. Lovely.
